Story of Change
In a government school, we met students who had never touched a computer. For many, even writing their own names in English was a challenge. It wasn't just a gap in digital access - it reflected deeper learning gaps that were quietly limiting their confidence and future opportunities.
What stayed with us even more was this - teachers were equally committed, yet lacked the structured support and tools needed to address these evolving classroom needs.
This became the starting point for Anavya Foundation.
We realized that real change wouldn't come from working only with students - it had to include empowering teachers who shape their everyday learning experience.
Through our Digital Literacy Program, we introduced structured sessions combining basic computer skills with foundational English, making learning simple and accessible for students. At the same time, through our Teacher Professional Development initiatives, we worked closely with educators - strengthening classroom practices, providing continuous mentoring, and enabling them to confidently integrate new methods into their teaching.
Today, students are not only able to operate computers and write their names with confidence, but classrooms themselves are becoming more engaging, supportive, and future-ready.
It may seem like a small shift - but for us, it marks the beginning of lasting change.
